Mounting your radar detector on its side (vertically) will increase your detection range of at least 20-40% on polarized photo radars (speed cameras) such as Ramet AD9, Ramer 7M & Multanova 6F.
The only disadvantage would be for off axis radar (around curves or bends) where you'd lose approx 10% ...

i want one that will spot out them vans that park up and leave their boot open and also the average speed camera, and also the ones on motorways under construction, but i don't want to pay a fortune for it, any advice???
