I drove past a camera today during 70 in a 60 zone but their was no flash, their was a car about 10m infront of me and i wonder if it somehow blocked it from me, do the cameras police setup flash during the DAY??… Perth, Australia

Never have seen a speed camera flash. They wouldn’t need it in the day if it had a flash. Firing a flash at a driver would be a bad idea since it could temporarily blind them.

Do they both pick up not just camera’s but cop cars too?

escort 9500ix is best dash mounted one i can think of it is expensive, i own one updatable red light/ speed camera database and awsome cop radar/laser detection, i know theyre around before they know i am, best buy, cartoys and many places sell escort, beltronics is same company, although i do not know if they have one with cameras in that name

No, since there is no technology to detect a speed camera.

The radar unit connected to a camera can be detected, but not at a sufficient distance to be avoided.

I need a device / radar detector that can see or detect the speed camera/radar model ( TraffiStar SR520 ) made in Germany. Will radar detectors from Cobra, Beltronics, Escort or Whistler do any good ?

I had a whistler and Beltronics over there, and neither one worked. They may use a different frequency, and are illegal to use.

Somehow as i was cleaning my car, i have turned off my speed camera detector, hit a button, Dont know. There is a small button that does not press in or turn at the front and there ar no instructions to help me. Dont know if there is a switch in the car or under the bonnet. Can anyone help. Many thanks

I drive up and down I-355 (From North Frederick Road in Germantown, to Rockville Pike in Rockville/Twinbrook/North Bethesda, to Wisconsin Ave in Bethesda) regularly and I have been able to located at least two (One or Two between Summit Ave and Education Blvd at Gaithersburg High School on South Frederick Road and one that is unlisted next to the CVS at the 7800 block of Wisconsin Ave). Where are the others ALONG I-355 only, if there are any more?

There’s nothing wrong with asking for them right? It’s like asking where is there street lights. And, I just want to know where are the speed cameras located, not the mobile or police enforcement or red light or any unfixed speed detector locations.

Depends how they detect them. Those that sense laser or radar signals will, those that work off a map based system, will need a UK map installing, so may not.
