it depends wat version you hav, for example tomtom one gb is just for great britain, but whichever sat nav u hav, go onto their website and c if u can download the map for spain and france. also the fixed speed camera detector isnt illegal because tomtom has the programme on all of their sat navs now.

TOM TOM 720 will cover Europe.
I have used it in Italy and warned me of all speed cameras.

You will need the relevant maps or the detector won’t work and the device will need to have the locations of the speed camera there put on to the system also check the laws where your going dose France allow them
Speed camera detectors that use a laser to detect cameras fixed or in the back of a van non fxed are illegial in the UK and a detector can only tell you where fixed camera are not non fixed ones like hand held laser guns or ones in back of vans.
My sat nav detector will tell you but there is a camera on that stretch of road but not excactly where.

If this is a GPS siganl…I’m pretty sure they have a different signal there, and a US model won’t receive over there. If that’s not what it is…I can’t help much…Not too technologically advanced at my house.

depends what kind of sat nav you have.
you may need to download more software/maps for france and spain.
try visiting the manufacturers website.
