Escort 9500i radar detector KA Band – 300m

January 28th, 2010 | by admin |

Another video showing how well the vertical mounting fairs against Western Australian speed cameras / multinovas whatever you like to call them.

Police Speed Camera Scarborough Beach Rd 8.45pm 8th May 2008. This multinova has a red flash. Reasonable detection today. Not the best but not the worst. The camera is just before the Toyota dealership. ~300M. After detecting the speed camera, the detector also picks up the K band from the dealership doors and that is show on the display. That K band has been locked out with the 9500i’s GPS capability.

    Yeah gotta agree …
Yeah gotta agree about the ramp up but that’s generally the case with the Multanova camera. At 0.5mW (or less!) shooting at a 22 degree angle to the road, the signal is very weak (1-2) until you enter the actual radar jet/stream (8-9).

    I agree, the ramp …
I agree, the ramp up is stuffed but yea as soon as you get the first signal you’d be checking your speed and slowing down anyway. It does the job..

When the V1 has GPS capabilities I will get one..

    Gotta Love that …
Gotta Love that Ramp Up Software! 1-1-1-1-2-2-2-9-9-9-9. Freaking ridiculous if you ask me. This was one of a few reasons why I picked the V1 over the 9500i.
