In my vast driving experience they are the only tools I need to spot fixed speed / " safety " cash generators.( usually bright reflective yellow ) You can buy an up to date road atlas with all the fixed sites in the UK for less than £10 but if you are one of the young generation of road users I doubt if you know how to read one. Get to know the speed limits of the various roads you drive on & stay close to that limit. It is not the speed itself that kills, but is a combination of inattention coupled with a sudden 'emergency' & sudden stop which could result in a fatality.
