I got my speed camera upgrade with a free coupon in "the box" my wife bought me a tom tom one last Christmas from Halfords. The guy that sold it to her said it should not have been included in that model. All I did was logged onto the tom tom site and punched in a series of numbers on the coupon and plugged in my machine into a USB port. No questions ever asked.

Perfectly legal in UK as uses GPS to advise when you are near a ~safety~camera. In other countries, Germany for example, not legal to use, though the data is available.
