Speed Camera Detectors?

I’m considering buying a Road Angel Compact, but has anyone got a recommendation for either any other machine or advice about how good or bad the Road Angel Compact is? I want a detector that can pick up those sleazy mobile camera vans too! Before anyone says it, It ain’t as simple as just driving slower!
I’m in the UK. as far as I’m aware most products on the market are 100% legal. I don’t want one of these devices because I’m a massive speeder, I’ve got a basic distrust of Traffic Cops, I trust them about as much as I’d trust a lion not to eat me!

You’re right, it’s not so much a question of breaking the law as wanting to not break the law. I don’t speed, but I do like to know where all these hidden hazards and money makers are.

First, you need to find out if it’s legal for you to own and operate a detector. Some states don’t allow it, and others do. In Florida, if you’re out of state, you can still have it in your car, but not turned on.

As they lump all the English questions together, the laws in the U.K. may be similar.

    why bother??
    you can now get a clear application in a aerosol can that reflects the light back at the camera so it cant get your number.
    in fact all that is seen on the video is a ball of light.
