Ultra Compact Digital Camera – Which one to buy?

Several options… I am totally lost. Please help. Here is what I want:

* Ultra compact (should be able to carry in my purse or pocket)
* Full HD Video – better video and audio quality
* Image stabilization and picture quality
* Fash/High Speed catch (shorter lag time between shots)

I don’t care about GPS, size/functionality of on camera playback, touch screen, etc. I can pay up to $300. Ideally around $200. AAA batteries would be the best but I can also live with charger. Please help. Thanks.
One more thing… I will be using the camera for my 18 month old who is always running around. Mostly still pictures but occasional vidoes, etc.

    Well I have a Canon PowerShot SD960 IS. It takes INCREDIBLE photo’s/videos, it’s relatively cheap, AND it’s portable! here’s a picture:

    I would suggest Canon PowerShot SD1400IS 14.1 MP with 4x Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD. Good compact camera that take good picture quality and also take good HD video.
