What is the best way to get a laptop connected to the internet?
April 12th, 2010 | by admin |I’ve finally decided to join the 21st century and buy a laptop. We still want to keep our desktop and we currently get internet through TimeWarners high speed internet. We have a webstar modem, I don’t know if that makes any difference. I know absolutely nothing about laptops or really about computers so how would we go about connecting to the interent at home? Also, we’re planning on taking a roadtrip later on in the year and I’d like to use it for GPS instead of buying one. How would I connect to the internet while driving in a car? Is that even possible? Also, if anyone has any recommendations about what type of laptop to buy, I’d really appreciate it. I would use it mostly for internet and downloading pictures/videos from my camera. I do need to get GPS on there though. It would have to play DVDs (I don’t know if that’s standard) and be able to hold ALOT of pictures, I take way too many. I just don’t want to go there not knowing anything and get suckered into buying an expensive one with a bunch of add ons that I’ll never use. Thanks alot!
go to Dell outlet.com,you can get a refurbished laptop for about 30%or more less than new and it will have the same warranty as a new model
