Laser Targeting on South Tower, Military Technology on 9/11

A laser designator is a laser light source which is used to illuminate a target. Laser designators provide targeting for laser guided bombs, missiles, or precision artillery munitions. The camera used to take this video was able to see the laser due to a Carl Zeiss Vario Sonnar lens. When a target is marked by a designator, the beam is invisible and does not shine continuously. Instead, a series of coded pulses of laser-light are fired. These signals bounce off the target into the sky, where they are detected by the seeker on the laser guided munition, which steers itself towards the center of the reflected signal. It is important to note that unless the people being targeted possess laser detection equipment or can hear aircraft overhead, it is extremely difficult for them to tell whether they are being marked or not. Laser designators work best in clear atmospheric conditions.
Was a laser guiding system used? Is that why the plane makes a sudden turn seconds before hitting the building?

It is good to have …
It is good to have someone with knowledge on these type of things to express that. Because since it is bright out and the from what I have read the lasers are infra red, so with the conditions that day I dont think the laser would of been that visible. Regardless though I still believe there is more to 9/11 than what meets the eye. DSW thank you for your service to our country. I just lost a friend Nov 4 in Afghanistan, so my hats off to ya for what you do.

I’m a targeting …
I’m a targeting officer in the Air Force (meaning I deal with U.S. weapons like laser guided bombs and getting them to their targets). The laser used to guide an LGB to it’s target is NOT VISIBLE to the naked eye. YOU CAN”T SEE IT!!!

Im an Air Force air traffic controller officer.. Our jets use thermal imaging and lazer designation (TIALD) from thousands of feet about the target. You would never see the jet that was designating.
9/11 was DEFINATELY an inside job.

The laser was not …
The laser was not continuous because it was reflecting off of the debris. In other words it would have been continuous on the buildings, but the debris got in the way.
That being said, I’m not totally sold on this story in the first place. The video is interesting, but does seem to raise more questions than answers.
