    ONLY traffic police …
ONLY traffic police enforce speed. they have nothing whatsoever to do with all the other ‘crime on the streets’ that is going undetected. They broadcast on a different radio channel, they have nothing to do with burglaries, or assaults, or criminal damage, or drugs, or rapes, or murders – JUST traffic related matters.

They just follow orders – don’t blame the police for doing the jobs they are instructed to do.

    Why do you blame …
Why do you blame the police for speed enforcement measures? Are you suggesting they make such decisions themselves? They merely follow orders from their superiors – which is like blaming the soldiers themselves for being in Iraq when it was Bush or Blair who is responsible.

    Quote;
‘Next time, I will drive by and let the cop get knifed.’

= Shortsighted, vindictive waffle which is as bad as the person wielding the knife. I’ve always believed that colonists were sub-standard thinkers.

    That might be …
That might be because the warning meant nothing & ten minutes later the driver was speeding again.

I wonder how many would speed if they regularly accompanied officers to people’s homes to tell them their child had just been broken in half by a speeding car?

If you really believe the police collect taxes for the government – then stop contributing, it is a voluntary tax.

    No wonder that …
No wonder that crime on the streets is rampant. All the cops are out collecting revenue. I wonder what these cops do when their kid asks them Q: “what did you do today daddy/mummy, get any bad guys did you”? A: “You bet Johnny, I’ve been taking money off pensioners and people struggling to live, but these criminals were doing 2kms over the speed limit, so they need to be taught a big lesson”. Get with the program people, our police force are nothing but tax collectors for the government.

    Be warned,in Vic we …
Be warned,in Vic we have be cursed with these oppressive devices for years.
This year the road toll in Vic has risen considerably,in that time there would have been hundreds of new speed cameras introduced on our roads. The CATCH PHRASE for the cameras,”speed cameras save lives”. This statement is unequivocally false !
The Victorian government now factor speed camera revenue, from new roads (eastlink) into their projected budgets !!

    ‘Police’ are …
‘Police’ are thieves? They are just men and women doing a job, paying their bills, blaming them is shortsighted and incorrect.
Any hidden agendas come from much higher up and not at street level – the average copper is only acting upon orders, you can’t blame the infantryman for the actions of a General.

It is human nature to look around to apportion blame – so if driving past an officer being stabbed makes you feel better, then you are better off staying home and watching Eastenders.

    You kidding?! …
You kidding?! They’re always the first to implement new privacy right infringement devices. Just a little under 400 years ago our forefathers left there because of the oppression…

    Same shite down …
Same shite down under as is happening in Britain.

I came to the aid of a police officer 10 years ago when he got in a spot of bother with some scum. I wouldn’t bother now. Police are thieves. They have had £120 of my hard earnt money. Next time, I will drive by and let the cop get knifed.
