Speed detectors?
February 17th, 2010 | by admin |Can anyone recommend a decent radar/laser detector? eg the ones which can pick up the police radar guns from a distance and also the fixed cameras
I’ve tried a few and have yet to find one that is more than about 20% reliable.

I try my best not to speed but have a Road Angel Plus which actually makes you drive safer as it not only warns you of camera’s but as it uses GPS technology it also tells you when you are approaching a speed limit change ie. 30 – National speed limit or more importantly vica versa. It does also know where all UK cameras are as long as you update it on your PC by USB cable regularly. It already knows where fixed camera’s are and also where mobile camera’s operate as by law these have to be published (STUPID I KNOW LOL). So it doesn’t detect camera’s it just knows where you are through GPS and warns you that way. They do start from £129 though.
I don’t see anything wrong with using one of these as all good SATNAV systems have this built in as well. These are not being made illegal by the way but detectors are.
