Can portable GPS tell your max speed over a given time?
April 22nd, 2010 | by admin |I go snowboarding alot, and I thought it would be cool to have something that can tell me how fast I was going during a run. I was thinking about getting a portable garmin gps, so my question is do most gps have an option to track distance over time, or max speed during a certain time period? I can’t exactly grab and look at an electronic device when Im flying down the mountain so it would have to be something I could go back at and view after. Thanks for your help
I have a Garmin 60csx that’s sweet. You can get a topo chip for your area that uses the detailed maps. This can be very useful. As far as speed, it will show max speed, moving average, and overall average speed. It will give you moving time and stopped time. It will also give you an odometer, a trip odometer, and elevation. The elevation may also be of interest to you.
