Dont gripping GPS when trying to find GPS satellites.
Because u will grip GPS attena too.Your hand will block acquiring signal.

GPS receivers work best when not interfere signal surrounding them, try to disable some application such as your bluetooth ,and another user interface. keep away your cell phone that's a good chance you'll receive a faster signal.

Looking for sky.
GPS satellites are in the sky, Clear sky is good chance to receive a faster signal.

Open Area.
if you're near tall building, or standing under big trees you may not receive a signal. Avoid areas that block your view of the sky.
References :
There's no real way to do this. If you make sure you're parked in an open area so the satellites have a strong signal and the GPS can see them all it helps a bit. But other than that, no.
