Oregon Handheld GPS Navigator

July 20th, 2010 | by admin |

The first handheld outdoor navigator with convenient touchscreen operation!

Following on the tremendous popularity of the Colorado line of handheld navigators, Garmin has done one better

with the debut of the Oregon Series, the first handheld navigators to feature convenient touchscreen operation.

Combine that with a high-sensitivity GPS receiver and wireless technology and you have the most advanced outdoor

navigator yet!

Outstanding features include an antenna that is completely internal, making the Oregon easy to slip into your

pocket. Each Oregon includes an electronic compass, barometric altimeter,* 65,000-color, sunlight-readable

touchscreen, plus the ability to wirelessly exchange user routes, tracks, waypoints and geographic locations with

other buddy units. Wireless capability also gives you the ability to use a heart-rate monitor or connect to a

GSC10 Bike Speed/Cadence Sensor (sensors sold separately) for the ultimate in “inner” and “outer” situational

awareness!

The Oregon 200 comes preloaded with a worldwide base map, while the 300 offers the same map with shaded relief

for superior detail. Saltwater mariners love the 400c with its preloaded, detailed BlueChart g2 coverage for the

coastal U.S. and the Bahamas. Preloaded with inland lakes, rivers and shoreline detail, the 400i is your

all-purpose guide to inland water adventures. With state-of-the-art 3-D elevation perspective and preloaded

topographic maps, the rugged 400t gives you all you need for serious hiking, climbing and other outdoor fun. You

can also customize your Oregon with five different user profiles: automotive, marine, recreation, fitness or

geocache. So no matter what your favorite form of outdoor fun, there is an Oregon GPS navigator for you!

*Compass and altimeter not included with the Oregon 200.
