speedo vs gps speed,which is more accurate?

the gps is accurate, but I have found 1 mile difference in different brands..

Assuming that you are using stock sized wheels and tires the speedometer should be closer. a GPS has to relay the information to the satalite then process it giving more to make a mistake on.

usually ur speedo will b more accurate…..the gps is going by time between points…wearas the speedo is accurately calibrated to ur vehicle…..

Speedos are normally 3-5% fast to ensure that you don’t accidentally get done for speeding. GPS speeds are more accurate but only in average. They can vary a little either side of accurate due to signal conditions.

The speedometer is more accurate. The satelite that the gps uses can not get 100% accuracy of the cars change in vehicle position.

Watching the difference in distance before suggested turns. I have been at the intersection and have gotten readings of of 100 to 400 feet while it is really 0 feet.
