    that’s my personal preference so i can easily see it without taking my eyes off the road. yes, generally you get a little better rear performance, but typically rear shots, i find, come at very close range. in such cases, the detector will be going off strongly even in this position.

    4:28 I’ll tell you why the IX is not responding correctly though its positioned better,a radar detector is supposed to see the back window from between the seats, needs to be positioned in the center of the windsheild, but yours is closer to the left, thus it cant see behind.

    The two he has hidden in his dash are not windshield mounted detectors. They are hardwired and those are just the displays. They are extremely small and can mount almost anywhere.

    It’s a radar …
    It’s a radar detector, not a cop detector. The cop you saw was probably not running a radar at that point in time. All that radar detectors do is detect the radar that radar guns use to measure the speed of cars.

    i need some help here, i just got my passport 9500ix, i was in front of a police.. and this thing was like nothiing? do the 9500ix only works for speed cameras? thats the only thing it does? i need something that can alert me that there is a cop one mille ahead of me!!
